I’m Bonnie Ewoldt, retired from teaching with time to devote to my passion–writing.  I write eclectic pieces, ranging from op-ed to humor, and my work has been published in Country and Country Extra magazines and Amber Waves of Grain.  Two new pieces are scheduled for November of this year in Make Hay While the Sun Shines and The Pumpkin Vine, a history of Crawford County, Iowa.  I’ve also written several op-ed pieces for area newspapers.

My husband and I live on an acreage near the Little Sioux River north of Milford, IA, and we spend a great deal of time outside enjoying landscaping, gardening, and wildlife conservation.  When I’m not putting fingers to keyboard, I may be cooking large meals for our extended family of three married daughters and eight grandchildren, quilting, making dolls, or volunteering with church and civic groups.  I am an avid reader, news junkie, and member of two Writers Groups.

New writings will appear on this blog monthly and I hope you enjoy them.  Please subscribe if you are interesed in receiving email alerts about new postings.  I look forward to reading your feedback and comments!
